In celebration of 150 years of statehood, the Nevada Museum of Art honored the “Battle Born” state with a significant exhibition detailing the journey toward October 31, 1864. The exhibition culminated with a special (72 hr viewing) Nevada Day weekend presentation of the original Emancipation Proclamation signed by President Abraham Lincoln, on loan from the National Archives, Washington, DC.

The graphic identity was inspired by handset type styles used in newspapers of the era, and outlaw posters of the West. Orange the Museum’s brand color is the compliment of the Battle Born States’ cobalt blue, became the foundation all the marketing materials.
